The Opportunity

Lead the Oncology Medical Affairs strategy and shape the healthcare ecosystem through scientific leadership, strategic partnerships, and data-driven innovation to improve patient outcomes and access to care.

Main Accountabilities

  • Accountable for the overall Oncology Medical Affairs strategy, including strategic direction, business planning, and delivery of Medical Affairs plans
  • Lead the local Medical Affairs function, ensuring optimal structure, capabilities, and resource allocation to maximize impact
  • Act as a key member of the local leadership team, contributing to country/cluster strategy and cross-functional decision-making
  • Drive evidence generation strategies (RWE, IIS, publications) and leverage digital, AI, and data-driven insights to shape clinical practice and improve patient outcomes
  • Build and sustain strategic partnerships across the healthcare ecosystem (HCPs, KOLs, Government, policy makers, and other stakeholders) to support guideline shaping and access to care
  • Lead and develop a high-performing Medical Affairs team, fostering a patient-centric, innovative, and data-driven culture
  • Drive operational excellence through measurable outcomes, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with ethical standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies (including GxP and medical governance)

Requirements

Must-have
  • Practicing or recently practicing Oncologist with deep understanding of the healthcare system and its challenges
  • Extensive experience in stakeholder engagement (HCPs, KOLs, Government, policy makers)
  • Experience in digital health, AI, real-world data or EMR/CDSS
  • Experience working on policy development or clinical guideline shaping
  • Strong communication (oral & written) and leadership capabilities
  • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams
Nice-to-have
  • Advanced scientific degree (M.D., Ph.D., Pharm.D.)
  • Digitally fluent, data-driven leadership style, comfortable working in AI-enabled and rapidly evolving environments
  • Strong understanding of the latest scientific, technical, and regulatory developments
  • Innovative, solution-oriented mindset
  • Experience in ecosystem-scale initiatives involving multiple stakeholders
  • Background in research, drug development, and lifecycle management
