Job Purpose

The (Senior) Brand Manager will be responsible for driving brand performance within the CVRM/ or Biologics therapeutic area. The role focuses on translating brand strategy into effective execution, leveraging data-driven insights, cross-functional collaboration, and omnichannel marketing to maximize business outcomes, patient access, and brand growth.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Brand Strategy & Business Performance

  • Develop and execute brand strategies to achieve business objectives, including sales performance, P&L targets, and pre-launch excellence.
  • Define brand vision, positioning, narrative, KPIs, and content strategy aligned with global direction.
  • Anticipate market trends and identify opportunities and risks based on data and insights.
  1. Brand Plan Execution

  • Lead end-to-end execution of brand plans to ensure delivery of strategic goals.
  • Design and implement customer engagement plans across multiple channels (omnichannel approach).
  • Develop and manage content calendar, ensuring consistent and impactful brand communication.
  • Drive service and customer journey improvements to enhance brand experience.
  1. Cross-functional & External Collaboration

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (Medical, Sales, Market Access, Regulatory, Finance) to ensure seamless execution of brand initiatives.
  • Manage external agencies and vendors to deliver high-quality marketing campaigns.
  • Optimize partnerships and ensure alignment with global and local requirements.
  1. Customer, KOL & Market Engagement

  • Engage and manage KOLs to gather insights and support brand development.
  • Lead customer segmentation, targeting, and value proposition design.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships to support brand objectives and market access strategies.
  1. Digital & Omnichannel Marketing

  • Develop and execute digital marketing strategies and omnichannel campaigns tailored to customer needs.
  • Optimize digital tools and platforms to enhance engagement and customer experience.
  • Leverage AI and data-driven tools to improve marketing efficiency and execution effectiveness.
  1. Market Intelligence & Analytics

  • Analyze market research, customer insights, and competitive landscape to support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor performance metrics and provide actionable insights for continuous optimization.
  1. Financial & Project Management

  • Manage brand budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation effectively.
  • Ensure timely execution of projects within scope, budget, and timeline.
  1. Team Development & Leadership

  • Coach and develop direct reports, supporting their career growth and capability building.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture across functions.
  • Lead by influence in a matrix organization.
  1. Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure all marketing activities comply with AZ global policies, local regulations, and industry codes of conduct.
  • Maintain high standards of ethical marketing practices.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Medicine (or related scientific field)
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in pharmaceutical brand management with proven campaign execution success
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and marketing compliance in pharma
  • Experience in cross-functional project management within complex organizations
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • High attention to detail, accountability, and execution excellence
