Reporting to

Medical Director / Medical Affairs Manager

Main Accountabilities

1. External Medical Engagement (≈50% field)

  • Build and maintain relationships with KOLs/HCPs to strengthen the company’s scientific leadership.
  • Share scientific data in an objective and balanced manner.
  • Implement OL engagement plans and manage the KOL database.
  • Support ESR (Early/External Sponsored Research) and RWE (Real-World Evidence) activities; facilitate discussions on clinical research.
  • Identify unmet medical needs and initiate appropriate scientific programs.

2. Internal Medical & Brand Support

  • Provide medical insights on market landscape, treatment trends, and competitor intelligence.
  • Contribute to Brand Strategy and Life Cycle Management (LCM).
  • Develop and execute the Medical Plan, including pre-launch activities.
  • Lead scientific content for CMEs, congresses, advisory boards, and publications.
  • Deliver medical training to Sales teams and internal stakeholders.

3. Governance & Compliance

  • Review and approve scientific/promotional materials in line with regulations.
  • Support investigator/site selection for studies when required.
  • Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulations, Pharmacovigilance (PV), and the Code of Conduct.
  • May assume responsibilities as Nominated Signatory, Medical Information, or PV lead in the market.

4. Development & Leadership

  • Continuously update scientific expertise within the therapeutic area.
  • Provide mentoring support to MSLs when applicable.
  • Proactively participate in training and personal capability development.

Requirements

Essential

  • Master’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline (MD/PharmD/PhD preferred).
  • Experience in Medical Affairs within a pharmaceutical company.
  • Strong KOL/stakeholder management capability.
  • Project management experience.

Preferred

  • Medical Doctor or PhD.
  • Deep understanding of Medical Affairs operations and industry regulations.
