Role Purpose
Drive and lead the IT & Digital agenda in Vietnam by enabling business growth, enhancing patient outcomes, and accelerating digital transformation. This role partners closely with Commercial, Medical, and Leadership teams to shape and deliver innovative, scalable, and value-driven technology solutions aligned with both local and global strategies.Key Accountabilities
1. Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership- Serve as the trusted IT & Digital business partner to the Country Leadership Team, shaping strategic priorities through technology, data, and innovation.
- Provide thought leadership to Commercial and Medical functions, enabling digital-first approaches to customer engagement and patient support.
- Develop a deep understanding of business strategy, market dynamics, and patient needs to inform digital and technology decisions.
2. Digital Transformation & Innovation
- Lead the digital transformation agenda across Vietnam, driving adoption of innovative technologies to enhance customer experience and business performance.
- Define and execute a clear digital roadmap aligned with global and regional strategies, ensuring measurable business outcomes.
- Identify, pilot, and scale new solutions through Proof of Concepts (POCs) and partnerships with digital and startup ecosystems.
3. IT Operations & Service Excellence
- Hold end-to-end accountability for IT & Digital operations, including digital platforms, business intelligence, infrastructure, internal tools, and patient-facing solutions.
- Ensure high levels of service quality, reliability, and user satisfaction across all IT services through continuous feedback and improvement.
- Drive excellence in IT service delivery, aligned with global standards and governance frameworks.
4. Financial & Resource Management
- Own and manage the IT & Digital budget for Vietnam, ensuring investments are aligned with strategic priorities and deliver maximum value.
- Balance innovation and cost efficiency, prioritizing initiatives that drive measurable impact on growth and patient outcomes.
5. People & Matrix LeadershipÂ
- Lead and develop a high-performing, diverse IT & Digital team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Collaborate effectively within a complex matrix organization, working closely with regional and global teams (e.g., Asia IT, Campus IT, GTC, and functional leaders).
- Act as a role model of company leadership behaviours, promoting inclusion, collaboration, and agility.
6. Stakeholder Engagement & CollaborationÂ
- Build strong, trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders across Commercial, Medical, and enabling functions.
- Ensure alignment with regional and global IT strategies, leveraging shared capabilities and best practices.
- Act as the key interface between local business teams and international IT functions.
Education, Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Essential
- Extensive experience in IT & Digital leadership roles, covering both application and infrastructure domains.
- Proven track record of leading in complex, matrixed, and geographically distributed organizations.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate technology into commercial and patient value.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, driving performance in diverse and dynamic environments.
- Experience in developing compelling business cases and influencing senior stakeholders.
Desirable
- Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry or other highly regulated sectors.
- Strong communication and influencing skills at senior leadership level.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Experience working with digital ecosystems, including startups and innovation partners.
- Deep understanding of customer journeys and experience design.
- Proven track record of delivering digital solutions with clear KPIs and measurable outcomes.
- Experience in driving innovation through POCs and scaling successful solutions.
- Active contributor to industry thought leadership networks and communities.
